We provide industrial silo cleaning for bulk storage vessels affected by hardened deposits, contaminated product or unreliable discharge. Cleaning the walls and cone can recover usable space and expose areas that need maintenance. The material inside determines the cleaning method, and discharge equipment is included where it forms part of the deposit or restriction.

Stored material and deposits
The product and deposit condition influence the cleaning method and the equipment suitable for the silo.
Isolation arrangements
Filling, discharge and connected equipment need coordinated controls while cleaning is under way.
Bulk storage vessels and material flow
Flat-bottom silos, hopper-bottom silos and smaller process bins retain material in different places. In a funnel-flow vessel, a narrow central channel can empty while product remains against the walls. Bridging is different: material forms an arch above a void. Neither condition can be judged safely from an empty reading alone. We assess remote removal first, allowing for internal fittings and the collection route below the deposit.

Findings after deposit removal
We identify which surfaces have been reached and any visible deterioration exposed during removal. Repeated build-up in one area deserves investigation, particularly around a leaking joint or a damaged lining. Cleaning removes deposits; correcting the underlying storage or equipment fault is a separate maintenance decision.
Material recovered during cleaning may need a different destination from normal production waste, especially where it has become contaminated or its original identity is uncertain.
Industrial Silo Cleaning: common questions
Does a silo need to be empty before cleaning?
The remaining product and any unstable deposits must be assessed. Bulk removal may be needed before the surfaces can be cleaned effectively.
Can cleaning restore the original capacity?
Removing deposits may recover storage space, but the amount depends on the build-up. Cleaning cannot correct a damaged vessel or an unsuitable discharge design.
Is internal entry always needed?
No. Methods operated from outside should be considered first. Any necessary entry requires a separate confined-space assessment and safe system of work.
Which silo types does industrial cleaning cover?
The service covers assessed bulk storage vessels, including flat-bottom and hopper-bottom silos and process bins. Liners and internal fittings affect which equipment can be used.
Does cleaning include the discharge equipment?
Outlet areas can be included in the agreed clean. Servicing an auger, gate or other mechanical component is a separate maintenance task.
