Silo Cleaning Company enquiry

We provide residue removal, emptying and blockage clearance for bulk storage operations. A full internal clean, bulk emptying and restoring a blocked discharge are different jobs and do not produce the same result.

Vessel construction

Internal coatings and fittings influence the choice of cleaning tools.

Recovered material

Reusable product, contaminated residue and waste can require different receiving arrangements.

Equipment suited to the vessel

A hopper-bottom silo gives access to different areas from a grain bin with an aeration floor. A coating inside a chemical vessel may also limit which tools can be used. We consider the actual construction alongside the material to be removed, so the method reaches the deposit without damaging the parts being retained.

Product can remain behind probes and around the outlet after the bulk has emptied. Remote equipment may reach those areas, but openings and internal obstructions can leave recesses or surfaces behind fittings outside its reach.

Cleaning boundaries and material handling

Recoverable product needs different receiving arrangements from contaminated residue or waste. Cleaning for an inspection may be limited to the surfaces that need to be exposed.

At completion, we explain what has been removed and identify any limitation. If cleaning reveals damaged lining or a worn outlet component, we record the finding for the site. A cleaning visit does not certify the silo’s structural condition.

Silo Cleaning Company: common questions

What determines the silo cleaning method?

The stored material, deposit condition, vessel construction, openings and internal fittings all affect which equipment can be used safely and effectively.

Can recoverable product and contaminated residue use the same receiver?

Not by default. Reusable product, contaminated residue and waste can require different receiving and separation arrangements.

How are cleaning limits described at completion?

The completed areas, visible condition and any surfaces that could not be reached should be identified so the result is not overstated.

Is bulk emptying the same as a full internal clean?

No. Emptying removes the main contents. A full internal clean addresses retained deposits on walls, fittings and other agreed surfaces.

Will the cleaning visit certify the silo?

No. We explain the work completed and visible findings. Structural certification or another specialist test needs its own defined assessment.
